Nicolee Drake, RYT, Director

Nicolee's experience is based upon her own journey through life and through yoga. From corporate life to her peaceful life in Encinitas, CA, she instructs private yoga classes and designs and facilitates yoga retreats in exciting international locations. Nicolee began her yoga practice in Seattle, WA in 2000 as a method of physical healing after a back injury. Her experience with yoga began as a physical activity to recover from pain. Over time it has evolved into a union of her physical, mental and emotional well-being, allowing a greater degree of freedom in her life. The result is a more joyful state of existence which has led to an amazing journey of transformation on every level.

Nicolee combines precise alignment, breath awareness and meditation into her teaching, providing a custom-fit yoga program for each group or individual. She teaches a challenging Vinyasa class designed to quiet the mind and strengthen the body through movement and breath. Her class is a powerful yet graceful flow encouraging students to explore their own internal rhythms through asana, pranayama, world music, and most importantly and open heart. Inspired by music, dance, travel, and literature, she blends the best of modern Western culture with the beauty and wisdom of Eastern culture. Nicolee embodies a spirited yet nurturing presence creating an environment where students feel safe to shine.
